As promised here’s a follow up on my first post about essential oils and how to use them to prepare yourself and the atmosphere for the best possible reading. Here’s I’d like to mention some less famous oils that I especially love.
Agonis fragrans (Fragonia) – This essence creates a peaceful atmosphere and makes communication and understanding easier. Especially useful with consultants who are stressed or frustrated as it will help them overcome these negative feelings and focus on the reading.
Psiadia altissima (sometimes called Iary or Irya – always check the latin name ) – Believed to stimulate positive energies, it helps vitalizing the body and the mind. This plant eases the mind and helps reduce fear and anxiety. It’s perfect in your diffuser before a session to purify the air and create a positive atmosphere.
Canarium luzonicum (Elemi) – this oil is not very well known yet and that’s a shame. Not only is it great for superficial burns but it’s one of the best oils to recenter yourself and channel your energy. It’s a perfect oil to prepare for a consultation and make sure you’ll be 100% focused and centered.
Ledum groenlandicum (Bog Labrador Tea) – you probably have one of these charming rhododendrons in your garden without suspecting that it’s one formidable relaxant. It’s a powerful anti-anxiety and if you are reading for a friend who is extremely anxious you can rub a couple of drops on their wrists or diffuse it in the atmosphere.
Michelia alba (Magnolia) – Magnolia works as a mild relaxant while waking up your senses. Of course the wonderful smell is already a way to escape the real world. The warm honey notes provide a feeling of safety and while the fresher floral notes help stay awake and think straight. Use it in diffusion to create a fantastically cosy and fresh atmosphere!
There are many other oils that can help prepare the atmosphere for a reading but these are a great place to start. Always make sure you use quality oils and store them away from heat and light.
