Happy New Year! I know 2015 has been hard, it’s been a sharp year. A year for learning, a year for violence in many places and a year of challenges for most of us. It’s also been a year of sowing. And soon we’ll be reaping and harvesting.
2016 will be a most determining year for each of us. For every individual. But also for this lovely planet we trod on. So, for the first post of 2016 I wanted to share something positive. But not only. I wanted something inspiring. But not only. I wanted something empowering. Something that will give you faith in yourself. But also give you the tools to find this faith. That’s why I chose this very deep and beautiful TED conference by Milton Keynes on the Art of Being Yourself. She’s done a wonderful job at summarizing how this very simple (or apparently simple!) concept “be yourself” is one decisive key in our lives.
Being yourself is the most rewarding, most exciting and most challenging thing to do. Cut the influences, don’t try to imitate. Find your colours, your rhythm, your style. Find out what you’re good at. Every single skill matters. Every little thing that matters to you is worth your time. Listen to the wise people around you and then dismiss everything you’ve been taught to build your own foundations. And then you’ll realize you’ve achieved something many think is pretty much impossible… Happiness.
So here’s to a happy new year!
From next week, more Tarot tutorials to help you get there!
